Ransom Gingko Pen

$56.60

In 1880 Governor Epaphroditus Ransom’s son planted a gingko tree on Capitol Square in honor of his father, the first chief executive to serve in Lansing (1848-1850). One hundred and thirty-seven years later the tree was removed during the Capitol Infrastructure Upgrade project.  In 2019 the Michigan State Capitol Commission partnered with the Sustainable Wood Initiative Project at Michigan State University to create a series of custom products made from the Ransom Gingko, including this pen.
