2020 Michigan Capitol Ornament

The 2020 Michigan State Capitol ornament features our historic catalpa tree, the oldest living artifact on Capitol Square. The tree was probably established on sometime in the late 1860s or very early 1870s, as it appears in photographs taken during the Capitol’s 1872-1878 construction.
