Paperweight - Agriculture Muse

In 1886 eight large allegorical artworks by Italian artist Tommaso Juglaris were installed in the Capitol's dome. Each work features a female muse representing a virtue of the State of Michigan. Agriculture, depicted on this limited edition paperweight, wears a classical laurel wreath. She sits before a blossoming fruit tree, while a loose bunch of flowers rest at her side.

The paperweight is round and measures 3 1/2" wide.
